On this Mini Tour, you have the chance to follow the path of Jesus on the Via Dolorosa and visit the place where according to tradition, he was crucified, buried, and resurrected. This is a fascinating tour not only for Christians but also for non-Christians who want to know more about the story of Christianity.

What are Mini Tours?

Backpack Israel’s Mini Tours are small group tours with up to 8 participants. Each guided tour takes up to 2 hours and focuses on an interesting place or topic connected to Israel.

Mini Tours are ideal for solo travelers or couples who want to enjoy the benefits of a local guide and a small group but don’t have the money for a private tour.

More about this Mini Tour

On this Mini Tour, we’ll get to know the story of Jesus in Jerusalem.

We’ll walk the Via Dolorosa, which is, according to tradition, the path Jesus took on his way to crucifixion. We’ll hear the story of each Station of the Cross and try to imagine what the city looked like in the 1st century CE when Jesus walked its streets.

The Via Dolorosa ends at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. This is the holiest place for Christians because it is the place where Jesus was crucified, buried, and resurrected. There, we will learn about the history of the church and explore it in-depth.

How much does it cost?

The cost is 100 shekels per person (about 30 USD). There is no need for prepayment. Pay on the spot!
